Hungary is amazing! Day two was great although our feet are throbbing from walking at the VERY LEAST five miles. Two of those miles being stairs.
Today we saw the huge palace, when running around in near-pitch black darkness in underground labrynths (it reminded me of a haunted house because there were statues in dark corners!), took tons of pictures, bought some stuff including Secret Boxes (coolest things in the world and a Hungarian tradition), and stalked an American school group for a few minutes to see what their guide had to say. Haha it totally worked.
Luckily, our baggage did arrive around six o'clock here when we came back for dinner. And Miss Cathe ALMOST got us tickets to Transylvania until she discovered it took six hours just to get there.
And I was able to understand what a Hungarian lady was telling me, thanks to word cognates (compicile = complicated) and learned my first Hungarian word, utca which means street. Best part was shopping. I bought some cool stuff. Now tomorrow we're taking a bus tour, seeing the opera house, having a Hungarian dinner, and then the next day... VIENNA!!!
So I have to go wash clothes, shower, and watch a movie; we are wayyyy too tired to take a walk tonight. Hopefully I can post tomorrow but maybe not. Good afternoon to you back in the U.S. and goodnight for me!!
